Mamusta Mohammad Khezrnezhad, known as Mamosta Bukani, has been sentenced to execution. Mamosta Mohammad Khezrnezhad was a well-known cleric and a supporter of the nationwide protests in 2022. On November 19, 2022, he and his son Yaser Khezrnezhad were arrested by the intelligence forces in Bukan and later transferred to the intelligence detention center in Urmia after a few days. Mamusta Mohammad Khezrnezhad’s trial was held by the Third Branch of the Urmia Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Reza Najafzadeh, in the days leading up to February 9, 2024. He was charged with “spreading corruption on Earth” and “insulting the integrity or independence of the country.” Mamusta Bukani was deprived of having his chosen lawyer during the interrogation and trial. His trial was also held in absentia through video conferencing. He has been detained in Bukan prison without a single day of leave for the past 15 months. This Kurdish cleric has been subjected to psychological and physical torture. The tortures conducted by the Ministry of Intelligence officers were aimed at obtaining forced confessions. Mamusta Mohammad Khezrnezhad’s arrest followed his participation in a memorial ceremony for Esmail Rahimi, one of the victims of the nationwide protests in 2022. He had delivered a speech in the Eftekhari Mosque of Bukan during this ceremony, criticizing the government and condemning the killing of protesting people. Four Baluch sentenced to death
https://www.kampain.info/archive/85109.htm
https://iranhrs.org/%d8%b5%d8%af%d9%88%d8%b1-%d8%ad%da%a9%d9%85-%d8%a7%d8%b9%d8%af%d8%a7%d9%85-%db%b4-%d8%b2%d9%86%d8%af%d8%a7%d9%86%db%8c-%d8%a8%d9%84%d9%88%da%86/
The Tehran Revolutionary Court has sentenced Eidou Shahbakhsh, Abdolghani Shahbakhsh, Abdolrahim Qanbarzehi Gorgij, and Soleiman Shahbakhsh to execution on charges of “Baghi” and “formation and membership in anti-revolution terrorist groups.” This verdict was issued by Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Mohammadreza Amouzadeh. The court has also accused them of involvement in security incidents in the years 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2015. This case is riddled with ambiguity, flaws, and contradictions. However, due to pressure from the Revolutionary Guards, the case was reopened, and four Baluch prisoners were tried and sentenced to execution. The first two defendants in this case, Eidou Shahbakhsh and Abdolghani Shahbakhsh, were previously arrested, tried, and acquitted of these charges in 2016, but they were later detained by the Intelligence Agents of the Sistan and Baluchistan Revolutionary Guards. Soleiman Shahbakhsh, the fourth defendant, was only 12 years old at the time of the alleged crime.

According to the laws of the Islamic Republic, even if this crime were true, he would be considered subject to the “Act of Criminal Conduct by Children,” and issuing a death sentence for him would be outside the bounds of legal and international standards. As for the charges against the third defendant, Abdolrahim Qanbarzehi Gorgij, they are solely based on forced confessions obtained through torture. He is illiterate, and the torturers have pressured and tortured him to force him to sign the documents by his finger print. The severity of his torture is such that forensic experts have confirmed the forced nature of the confessions and the presence of coercion in his fingerprint on the papers. Eidou Shahbakhsh, along with three other Baluch political prisoners named Abdolghani Shahbakhsh, Abdolrahim Ghanbarzehi Gorgij, and Soleiman Shahbakhsh, have been sentenced to execution by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.
According to the Iran Human Rights Society, during the week ending on February 8, 2024, the death sentence of political prisoner Eidou Shahbakhsh has been referred to the Supreme Court of the country. Eidou Shahbakhsh (Paykarzehi), the 35-year-old son of Mohammad Shah, was arrested in 2016 but was acquitted of all charges and released after a while. However, after some time and under pressure from the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC, the verdict was overturned, and he was arrested again by the IRGC Intelligence officers of the Sistan and Baluchistan…

Security forces have repeatedly subjected political prisoner Eidou Shahbakhsh to physical and psychological torture in order to extract forced confessions. He has repeatedly stated that he is innocent. Security forces, due to the lack of valid evidence, have only entered his confessions obtained under torture into the case file. This is despite the fact that, according to legal laws, confessions obtained under torture cannot be included in the case documents. Political prisoner Eidou Shahbakhsh, a resident of Sarjangal in the suburbs of Zahedan, is married and has 5 children, one of whom is physically disabled… (Iran Human Rights Society – February 15, 2024)

Nasim Gholami Seminary, 35, was detained by security forces in mid-spring of 2023, charged with having connection with an opposition party. She went on hunger strike in late fall of 2023, to protest being kept in a state of limbo. After two weeks the authorities made promises to her and she ended her strike. Arrest and forced confession of a Kurd singer by IRGC Intelligence

On February 13, 2024, “Tasnim,” a news agency affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), released a video of Babak Mohammadi, a singer from Sanandaj, which shows him being coerced into a forced confession and an “apology” to the IRGC. The IRGC also compelled Mr. Mohammadi to share the video on his Instagram story, which has over 34,000 followers, along with the hashtag “#IslamicRevolutionaryGuardCorps” and a heart emoji. IRGC intelligence forces used violence, pressure, and threats against this singer from Sanandaj during his brief detention to force him into a coerced confession and an “apology” to the IRGC.
In recent days, Babak Mohammadi performed a song in which he mentioned “sacrificing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for a girl”. The IRGC considered it as an insult and, as a result, during his brief detention, they violently forced this singer into a coerced confession.
