Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, addressed the 78th Session of the General Assembly Tuesday afternoon. Some protesters focused on Raisi’s political past in their action.
“He murdered over 30,000 Iranian, MeK (People’s Mujahedin of Iran), Members of the MeK, Mujahideen of Iran in 1988,” said Kasra Nejat, the president of the Iranian-American Cultural Association of Missouri. “He’s a criminal… and he should not have to seat in the United Nations.”
