Iran Elections Will Consolidate Tyranny And Oppression

As elections are gearing up to take place in Iran on March 1st, one of the most important tasks for the Assembly of Experts is to nominate the next Supreme Leader.

Now, what’s interesting is that two prominent potential candidates, Hassan Rouhani and Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, were rejected by the assembly. It seems as though this move has caused a ton of internal turmoil, with rumors that Khamenei wants his son to be his successor.

Regardless, turmoil amongst the regime is positive for the resistance. The pressure is felt and this year could serve as the breaking point for the crumbling regime.

Reports out of Iran have confirmed that on the morning of January 23rd, Mohamed Ghobadlou was executed, despite protests from his lawyers and human rights activists. Yet another disgusting act by the regime, who continue to act out of fear and desperation. We continue to appeal to the U.S. and the U.N. to step in and put a stop to these unlawful executions being carried out by the regime.

3 American Troops Killed By Iran-Backed Militia
AP News, January, 2024

President Biden claimed that Iran-backed militias were responsible for the deaths of 3 American troops in Jordan. Biden also vowed that the U.S. will respond, but the method of that retaliation is unclear.

We send our condolences to the families of the fallen troops. It is heartbreaking to see the regime continue to get away with violence not only in Iran but across the globe. We will continue to fight against this terrorist regime and hope the U.S. will change its stance and join us in this fight.
