Bipartisan Resolution HRES-100 118 Congress
OIAC, February 8, 2023
At a Congressional press briefing on Wednesday February 8, 2023, bipartisan members of the House of Representative introduced H. Res. 100. Led by Congressman Tom McClintock and Congressman Brad Sherman, House Resolution 100 is, “Expressing support for the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic, secular, and nonnuclear Republic of Iran, and condemning violation of human rights and state-sponsored terrorism by the Iranian Government.”
House Resolution 100 is introduced on the anniversary of 1979 revolution which was usurped by the religious fascist regime currently governing Iran. The next anniversary will be in a free, secular, democratic, and non-nuclear Republic of Iran, Congressman McClintock and some of his his colleagues expressed during the press briefing. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president elect of the National Council Resistance of Iran addressed the event via live a video link and expressed her gratitude of US Congress for the bi-partisan support of (to-date of 165) members co-sponsoring H.Res. 100. Opposition groups hold rallies in Paris calling for EU to designate Revolutionary Guards as terrorists
EconoTimes, February 15, 2023
Thousands of opposition groups held a rally in Paris for the second day in an effort to call on the European Union countries to designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization. The call comes as a response to Tehran’s crackdown on its citizens in the midst of the ongoing protests.
A rally hosted by the National Council of Resistance to Iran was held in Paris on Sunday, following Saturday’s rally held by European-based Iranians. The rally aimed to highlight the IRGC’s role in Tehran’s crackdown on protesters in the demonstrations across the country that have been occurring since September. Aside from the crackdown, the rally also aimed to highlight the IRGC’s activities outside Iran, and the EU has increasingly become critical of Iran following the protests. Read More
Bipartisan House Resolution Rejects Monarchic, Religious Dictatorship, Endorses a Republic in Iran
Townhall, February 15, 2023 by Majid Rafizadeh
As we marked the 44th anniversary of the 1979 revolution in Iran, we were reminded of the transformative power of people’s movements to bring about change. The overthrow of the Pahlavi monarchy and the establishment of a republic in Iran held great promise for the people, but it was quickly subverted by Khomeini and his reactionary mullahs, who have since been responsible for unimaginable human rights abuses, terrorism, regional destabilization, and the pursuit of nuclear weapons…
The resolution currently has an unprecedented number of 165 bipartisan cosponsors, and it strongly condemns the violations of human rights and state-sponsored terrorism of the Iranian regime. Furthermore, it rejects both the Shah’s deposed monarchy and the ruling theocracy, and voices support for a democratic and secular republic in Iran. Read More
The resilience of Iranians, especially women, will lead to triumph over the regime
Washington Times, February 14, 2023 by Shabnam Madadzadeh
Forty-four years ago last week, Iran was in the middle of a major tumult. The Shah’s corrupt dictatorship was on the verge of being ousted by a genuinely popular uprising. Tragically, that was followed by the ayatollahs’ savage theocracy. But after four decades of suffering, I sense freedom and democracy is on its way to Iran and that women will play a determining role in the forthcoming transformation of Iran and the whole region.
My firsthand experience leads me to this belief.
Between 2009 and 2014, I was imprisoned in Iran because of my efforts to organize student activism against the regime.
I am 34 years old and have been aware of that regime’s brutality for all my life, having lost two siblings to its crackdowns on dissent. But my time in prison made me even more intimately aware of that brutality, especially as it affects women. Read More

Germany sees increase in Iranian spying since protests, Welt am Sonntag reports
Reuters, February 11, 2023
BERLIN, Feb 11 (Reuters) – The German government has acknowledged an increase in spying by Iranian intelligence agents on exiled Iranians living in Germany since the start of mass protests last year, Welt am Sonntag newspaper reported on Saturday.
Nationwide unrest triggered by the death of a young woman detained by Iranian morality police last year has led to “increasing indications of possible spying on opposition events and individuals” in Germany, the federal government said in response to an information request from the far-left Linke Party.
“Opposition groups and individuals (…) are considered by the rulers in Iran as a threat to the continued existence of the regime,” the government said in its response. Read More
