WASHINGTON, April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC), representing Iranian Americans in 40 states, including Arizona, lauds Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, for his April 14 visit to Tirana, Albania, where he met thousands of members of the Iranian opposition.
During the visit, Senator McCain also met with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and discussed the Iranian regime’s threats and its meddling in the region.
On behalf all Iranian communities, OIAC extends its gratitude to Senator McCain for his invaluable endeavors, including the introduction of legislation and holding hearings on the plight of thousands of Iranian opposition members in Camp Liberty, Iraq, and for his insistence that the United States must uphold its commitment to protect them.
Mrs. Rajavi expressed her appreciation to the Senator for his unrelenting efforts in support of relocation of the members of Iranian opposition out of Iraq.
