Thousands Protest in NYC During UNGA to Demand Justice for Iran’s Victims
Iranian Americans Hold Week-Long Campaign to Protest Iran’s New President
NEW YORK CITY, NY – Thousands of Iranian-Americans and supporters from across the U.S. will gather for a large-scale protest rally and press conference at the United Nations headquarters in New York City on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 (10 a.m.). The massive rally, organized by the Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC), coincides with the 79th Session of the U.N. General Assembly and includes powerful photo exhibitions, protest rallies, speeches from Iranian victims, a press conference, and a call for justice against the regime’s ongoing crimes against humanity. Demonstrators will demand immediate U.N. action to address these atrocities and highlight the nearly 200 executions carried out since the new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, came to power this summer.
